A portrait of Wolf, one of my leaders from my team of sleddogs.

I could always depend on Wolfie to keep the gangline tight, no matter what we were mushing through. He was brilliant with "gee" and "haw" (right and left,) and he didn't tolerate clowning-around when there was work to be done.

He had a wunnerful sense of humor and could make me laugh so I could barely breathe.

And many were the nights he'd be curled under my arm on the couch as we watched movies and shared popcorn together.
