Athairon Mongrafin is an NPC in the D&D campaign I am running. He is an old warrior in his early sixties and has seen and fought many battles before he was appointed military leader of the League of the Three Crowns twenty-six years ago. Since then, the Bathorian has eked out an existence in Nirdas. When his beloved wife died four years ago, he became even quieter, but he and his daughter Zandira remained loyal to Nirdas and continued to face the dangers of this icy region populated by gigantic creatures. Master Atharion, as his soldiers call him, is a quiet man, but nothing escapes his gray, watchful eyes. When it comes to battles, he is always on the front line, fighting side by side with his boys. This has earned him great respect and an unshakeable reputation in his army of ten thousand men.
