Description
Erik Van Houten is one of my players characters in the Cthulhu campaign I'm running. Born in Holland, he went to sea as a teenager and had already seen more of the world as a smuggler at a young age than others do in their entire lives. Because of his many wealthy contacts and the almost perfect overseas connections to Europe, Africa and Asia, he settled temporarily in New York for a long time and from there ran his business with smuggled goods from all over the world. Van Houten occasionally wears a cover over his left eye. It is not clear whether he does this because of a medical condition or simply for visual reasons. This quiet man in his late thirties prefers to stay in the background and operate from the shadows. When things get dicey, he relies on his large-caliber revolver.
