Stay up all night trying to warm it up after it almost dies, apparently.I wanted to draw something that expressed Ash's bond with a Pokemon that wasn't Pikachu, and I chose Charizard. I like to imagine Ash and Charizard having a sort of Hiccup/Toothless relationship without Toothless's puppydog antics, of course.
Ash is in Red's clothes because he's about 17 here and I didn't want to use any of the existing anime outifts. Charizard is also a little bigger here as well, because I refuse to believe Charizard is just over 5 feet tall. That's kinda puny XD
EDIT: Totally didn't even realize this pose is actually IN the second HTTYD movie. LOL
