Hello ! I am coming from ProjectComment, and this piece really stood out to me!
First I will start out by saying that this must have taken a long time, and it looks like you worked really hard on it. All the colors go well together, and you can really feel the stormy atmosphere.
I also really enjoy the movement of the deer. I personally have a difficult time implementing movement in my pieces, so I appreciate it when someone else can do it. I also really like the mountains in the very back, they really give depth to the area in the painting.
Now time for the critique:
I like the grass, but I don't understand the light patch of grass in the back. Since the atmosphere and background are "stormy" and dark, it just doesn't seem to fit in for me. But the grass is well drawn.
The animal's back leg looks a little awkward. I understand that it's jumping, but maybe the leg is too short or something.
Also in the back near the mountains, the lighting looks kinda small by itself. Maybe add more lighting in the back and make them a tad bigger?
I also don't understand what the back line going across the piece is supposed to be. Is it supposed to be wire?
Anyway, I do like your art! it's still really good despite the critique!

Hi! Thanks for your comment, I'll keep it all in mind. The light patch of grass was supposed to show that there is sun across from the storm, as it sometimes happens in real life.
And for "that wire". It's actually not in the picture, deviantart added it. If you click on the picture to make it bigger, the line isn't there anymore. I don't get it

I appreciate the realism here and the hard work you put into the background. The grass looks like you could touch each individual blade, the water has depth and weight to it, the mountains look massive even though they are the furthest away, the storm clouds looks dangerous and ominous, and the single lightning bolt confirms it. The animal also blends right into the rest of the work, as if it belongs here. It was made for the background and vise versa. Honestly a good drawing all around.

I like the atmosphere of this! But I think a little stronger shading on the fawn (?) would make the character's form a bit easier to understand (for example, the two hind legs - the pose is hard to understand with this light shading.
On the other hand, the texture of the sky and clouds are really nice, also the fawn's face is cute.
