Description
So I've been looking at the freezers that come to drop off food at Chili's and I've noticed that most of them come from Norway (Fish), America (Burgers), China (Rice), Russia (Liqour), and France (Baguettes). But this one came in from Sealand of all places. Maersk, Sealand. I don't know if it's just the name of the company or what....but I laughed my ass off, wonder what Sealand could have to offer.....Related content

its so annoying that england and friends decided to name "Sjælland" Sealand. Because thats the one Im thinking off whenever I see the APH Sealand. But hes not even a country, just a lazy oil platform.

Sealand is a company name. The trailer and container are detachable. They ship them like this all over the world and, when they get to the port of destination, they are offloaded onto the trailers and sent on their way.
Many moons ago, when I was in the Army, I worked at the port in Naha, Okinawa, where we unloaded these things on pretty much a daily basis. One day, as I was spotting, one of the cables broke, and the entire ass-end of the trailer came swinging down and smashed into the ground/trailer, popping it off the fifth wheel and scaring the living shit out of both me and the driver.
Good times...
Anyway. Sealand is not a place.

Actually it is...It's a little platform off the coast of England.
In 1943, during World War II, HM Fort Roughs was constructed by the United Kingdom as one of the Maunsell Forts, primarily for defence against German mine-laying aircraft that might be targeting the estuaries that were part of vital shipping lanes. It comprised a floating pontoon base with a superstructure of two hollow towers joined by a deck upon which other structures could be added. The fort was towed to a position above the Rough Sands sandbar, where its base was intentionally flooded to allow it to sink to its final resting place on the sandbar. The location chosen was in international waters, approximately six miles from the coast of Suffolk, outside the then three-mile territorial water claim of the United Kingdom.
Roy Bates the self-proclaimed King of Sealand has announced that his platform is a nation. 
Also, I just heard from a Danish girl, that their main Island is called sealand as well...not sure if that's entirely accurate..but I think it is.
