I was commissioned to draw this piece by a married couple who are big fans of FE3H and this pairing. More precisely, the husband contacted me to draw a sexy cute morning coffee scene as a surprise gift for his wife for their anniversary back in May.

I had not done any proper fanart of this ship before starting on this commission and working on this one picture totally slew me and turned me into a helpless fangirling mush. Imho Claude is the FE3H lord who has the healthiest relationship with Byleth and there's something very touching about how he slowly learns to trust her.

My commissioner had an exact idea for Byleth's look, Claude was drawn without references save for his left hand (used my own hand as a model). I don't know who started the fad of drawing Claude with body hair, but props to them.
