Description My part of an art trade with the amazingly talented .

Well, this is my take on a humanized version of Shadow, the hedgehog. XDDD;;;
I kept shoving various sketches and WIPs of this to people's faces on MSN Messenger (including a couple of my dear DA friends - sorry guys, lol) in the past two weeks and they said this version was the hottest and coolest. 8D

I tried to draw him in a bunch of more interesting poses, but I fail at drawing dynamic poses... Sorry. Anyways, I gave him a random gun for some reason. And the boots turned out kinda 3D-ish.
I wanted to do some background-like thing at first, but then I felt like trying out how it looks like if I save it as a png file with transparent background. Hope you don't mind. (Translation: I are lazeh. ^_^;;; )

Gah, sorry it took me so long. It could have been better and he has anatomy issues and stuff. Still, I worked pretty hard on it.

The small view version was bothering me, so I changed the file to jpg.

Really? 8D That's awesome, because I'm not even familiar with Sonic stuff, haha. I was a bit worried that my drawing would turn out too different compared to the actual character, out of character or something. But I'm glad you like it.

All the others I've seen have had overly depressing emo hairstyles and clothing or were too fuffly and not edgey enough to really capture Shadow's persona... my brother was a HUGE Shadow fan back in the day so I've been up to my ears in 'Shadow-talk' before

Yes! Don't get me wrong I grew up with Sonic , but what kind of girl whould I be if I did not appreciate the epic badassedness that is Shadow ? I love this human form, the hair is the best I have seen. Rock on!

I love his clothes. The creases are awesome. The pose and anatomy are great - I don't know what anatomy issues you're talking about (did you take out his appendix? :3 ) Overall, awesome piccy.

Everyone's got weird proportions. I know some people that resemble cartoon characters, and they're less well-proportioned than him.

Okay, I know there's no such thing as an "average person", but still, you have to obey some anatomy rules if you don't want your characters to look completely like some awkward mutations. XD;;

ooooh! It's so awesome! The pose and expression are sexy! And he colours are just wow! Especially his hair and his suit turned out looking amazing!

Yes. I guess it was originally a pet name for Anna or something, but it's used as an official first name (which is actually the last name in Hungary, lol) now.

Well, you started drawing my cat as your part of an art trade with me. Though you said you wouldn't want to tell me what you wanted me to draw for you until you're not done with yours. But that was months ago and I'm curious!

well here in Belgium it depends... They call it first name (Lori) and last name (Denis) but when writing it down they sometimes switch the order. Especially with paperwork. Like sometimes they write "Lori Denis" and sometimes "Denis Lori".

Lol, that's interesting! In Hungary, you have to use your name everywhere like Japanese people do. It's weird when you first start to learn a foreign language like English or German and have to remember to say your names in a different order.

So do I when I HAVE TO remember something. XDD;; If I don't have to, I'll remember it.

aaah XD that's gotta suck. We are used to both... so it's not that hard switching. But it's also confusing XD since you can't always tell what the first is. Some people think my last name is my first name... I think they mistake it for Dennis (the boys name?).
