EDIT: Changed that part of his outfit that kinda looked like a boob. That thing is part of his outfit. It's not on his chest, it's part of the fabric that's coming down from his shoulders. I never noticed it looked funny while I was drawing it. Herpderp.
Vincent from Pandora Hearts. This is one of those things I doodled before going to bed and it turned out better than I had expected it would. (Still, not my best drawing of him.)
I know he looks kinda like a pretty girl, but that's normal, lol. Still, he gets the most women in the manga. XDDD That smile of his, it makes me go all fangirly. I love Vincent's expressions, even a single close-up of his one eye can emit this "I'm up to no good" aura, hehe. I can't draw him even half as well as the mangaka does, but he's really fun to draw.
I love this character so much. He deserves more love and fanart. I think it's the first time I got so obsessed with such an unpopular character from a series. XD;
Also, apparently, I'm in a hyper fangirl mode today. RUN EVERYONE~~

And his hair looks fluffy, wispy, and spiky all at the same time... I love the shading of it~ Especially with the sea green~

Thanks! I can't make his hair as flowy as Jun does, though. When I started drawing Vincent, I based my drawings on the anime concept arts and his hair always turns out spiky like it was in the anime guidebook. Jun can make it look much softer.

I'm glad my Vincent obsession doesn't have the opposite effect on people.
True. I used to dislike her style, but the more I see her art, the more amazing it gets somehow. It's more feminine than an average shounen manga, but it doesn't look overexaggerated and overly shiny like a shoujo manga either.
And her art is just the icing on her deliciously breathtaking storytelling. *A*

By all accounts it probably should, but that could go for any character from Pandora Hearts XD
I liked it when I first started reading, but now when I look back at the beginning chapters I realize exactly how much her art has changed, but it's only gotten better, so I can't complain~ But yes, she does hide amazing little details in it~

Somehow I think Manga is her perfect medium for this, I can't see Pandora Hearts being done as well in novel form, which is odd for me because normally I love for things to be done as novels and enjoy them better that way~

I once talked about the exact same thing with and we agreed that this level of trolling might be impossible to create in novel form. Mochizuki uses all the abilities of the manga medium to tell her story in the best possible way. In fact, there are so many misunderstandable scenes in the later chapters, I can't even imagine how it could be done properly if it was adapted to animation. (They could do it, but it wouldn't have the same effect.) So yeah, I guess Jun Mochizuki was born to create manga. XDD

I'm now tempted to try writing Pandora Hearts in novel format just to see how difficult it would actually be... But that would be another longwinded project to go with my character analysis and theories that are neverending works in progress, so XD
But yes, I really can't see it being done overly well as an animation, especially if it stays on the kind of budget the anime seemed to display...
But yes, as a Manga it is near perfection in storytelling <*w*>

Lol, that would be quite an epic project. I actually started writing a summary for a friend who didn't have time to read the manga but wanted to know how the story continues after the anime and it was difficult to include the hints and everything without revealing too much too early.
Yup. Also, anime has sounds and movement which could give some things away that manga doesn't.

I always feel bad when I'm trying to explain the story and the person already knows who my favourite character is, so it's like the very first twist has been given away before I even start explaining D'X
Although, I did see the twist coming a mile away, but it always amuses me to find someone who didn't realize it~ 8'D
It shows good story telling when the things that should be obvious aren't~

I recently made friends with someone because of PH. She originally started watching me for more FMA art, but then my PH fanarts eventually piqued her interest. When she begun reading it, we started discussing it on MSN, she didn't see any of the twists coming and I tried not to reveal too much for her. It was so much fun! XDD
I like both for different reasons. I love animation, so I often get into the anime first.

I like the reading better, usually if I go on to watch something it'll be because the book was so good that I find myself still craving more and instead of rereading it I'll look into whether or not there's an alternative method for telling the story available <@u@>
Normally the only way I'll like the animation better for something is if it actually added to the story and was animated well. If it has action scenes they better well be done right, none of that cutting everything off midway or switching the camera angle to be lazy and not have to draw out the whole scene... And facial expressions... Don't mess with the facial expressions...

Most people don't understand my logic, but I usually watch the anime/movie first because it's usually worse. If I read the original, I won't bother watching the same thing. I also like listening to the soundtracks and the voice actors.

It wouldn't work for me, though, because if I didn't like the movie/animation I'd be less inclined to try reading it...
I like orchestral soundtracks~ And I like listening to voice actors(if they match the character well) because then when I read the character I'm familiar enough with the voice I can hear it in my head reciting the lines XD
But for some reason I don't like to hear voice actors sing... I should specify that to 'character songs'. It just... Seems wrong, depending on the character. There are some characters that I've seen with character songs they sing and I just can't picture it in my head unless they'd been let loose in a Karaoke bar with free booze and a lower than usual level of alcohol tolerance(or in Gil's case, the usual level of alcohol tolerance) XD

I like Yuki Kajiura's and Yoko Kanno's music best. I have about 15 soundtrack albums by Yuki Kajiura. I like to blame her music for getting me into Pandora Hearts.
I'm not a big fan of character songs either, but if it's Pandora Hearts or something else I really love, even the character songs are listenable to me. XDD And Japanese voice actors love to sing. Actually, Gil's VA, Kousuke Toriumi and Reim's VA, Junichi Suwabe sing in a band together which is called Fero Men. Jun Mochizuki even did a small parody doodle of Gil and Reim based on the cover picture of Fero Men's 2nd single. [link] (It's near the end of the blog entry.)
I agree with you, though. It's kind of odd imagining some characters sing these songs.

I love them too. Break is a particular case since at the beginning I just couldn't bear him !! I was like "graaa just die already, we don't need you, creepy man !!
And without even realizing it, I began to appreciate him little by little until one day I was like "... damn... I can't believe it... I... I love Break

Haha! I liked Break from the beginning. I just started liking him less because he gradually became less important while Gil, Vincent, Leo, Jack, Glen, etc. got to be in the spotlight more.
I felt like this towards Vincent, though. At first, I thought he was nothing special, but then I eventually became obsessed with him somehow.

Haha it's interesting how our feelings towards certain characters can evolve, in a good or bad way. In some cases, I think that if your feelings evolve, it's a sign that the character develop and it's a good thing after all
