Description
This painting was commissionned by a friend of mine, she said she wanted something in my style, with some blue inside.I was a bit afraid she wouldn't like my choice because the subject was so 'open'. The funny thing was that when I showed it to her, a friend of hers was there and (not knowing of the deal) said: ''oh! it's YOUR blue, Viola !''
I am very glad that she did like it !!!

Out of all your paintings this is my favorite so far, I love her face but most of all I love the colors.. the color scheme is so good, I love the golden hair with the blue of the flower and her red stockings.. very gorgeous

Oui,j'ai bien peur que ces créatures soient en voie de disparition mais il m'arrive parfois de retrouver dans les yeux de quelques de nos dames d'aujourd'hui la douce clarté des fées d'autrefois.N'as tu pas toi-même hérité de leur beauté?...

i love that playing with perspective, the little fatina, the massive flower, slightly out of focus in a photographic sort of way, the stockings, the flowing hair, the sparkling seeds...

once again, i admit adding you in devwatch was not a mistake - excellent work is it an elf? by the way, i've heard the legend, that when there was a contest about 10 years ago about choosing the best sounding language, the italian langugage was the winner, and the estonian was the runner up. But i was only a little crumb ten years ago, so what do i know about legends?

Nice colour balance but I'd have put some orange in, it's the complimentary colour of blue.

In fact I put some orange but so pale it's almost impossible to see it.....I put it where the image seems white, to give a lighter impression. Maybe I should have used it sharper in her clothing?
