For today we proceed another century and take a look at this courtier from 15th century France. Back at this time France was the mightiest country on the continent, I think that is fair to say. Habsburg was not quite on the top now and spain was still ruled by another dynasty. It was also considered one of the top nations in fashion and other culture areas, as well as the culture of its court. For a few centuries the king was getting more and more of a central figure, though we‘re not at the Louis XIV. level now, we‘re heading that way. Still this guy would serve a different dynasty, the house Valois. Most likely he would serve Louis XI. „The Spider“, or his father Charles (the one with Jeanne d‘arc). Since he could‘ve served the clever and cunning Louis, I thought the pose would fit.
