A definitely nice piece to look at. The setting of a desert usually should be calmer, so naturally if there are noises, you better be careful. In that regard, one would wonder what is going on and what anarchist raiders they will eventually encounter (or spot from a safe distance). It is not a nice life, quite frankly, if you think about the constant danger and the lack of a security as there is no police nor military to maintain order, as order itself is gone. Certainly a world for great stories, but a world we probably are glad to experience as readers and viewers rather than inhabitants.
And I certainly like the nice blue shade that is overall used for the nightly scene, while you utilize the brown very well for the wood and mug to be distinct from the background and characters. A little neat hing about it really, it all feels quite coherent. Plus, i like how you drew the both here, one rather bulky and the other more lean. Of course, that would be Maddog's designs, but you did execute them well.

Dystopian and apocalyptic worlds will forever be one of my favorite settings ahh, they just allow you to do so many different things.
And woops! You got to that before I even replied so damn, sorting things out in just a sec <:

Do you know the comic SOLO drawn by Oscar Martin? It's about a dystopian world too, and the main character is a mouse, big and muscular. I dream about having this comic on my shelf, as it's drawn so wonderfully I can't stop staring at every single frame that I see on the artist's Instagram.
But seems like it's a rather new thing that they are only starting to translate into English (from Italian, it seems). I believe this means that it won't appear in my country very soon ;___;

Shit you not that's another of my main inspirations with this whole setting (especially because there are cannibals and I believe I got that from SOLO, where if I remember correctly it's kind of "eat or be eaten?") I guess I either came across a Spanish translation someone lend me or I read a "fan made one" but I remember having read them... a really long while ago. I can faintly remember bits and pieces but not the whole thing, so now that you've mentioned it I might have to get my hands on an original copy and re-read it :'0

I went to check the comics and some stuff and WOPS Oscar Martin was born in Barcelona so I guess that explains why it was available so quickly in Spain (tough publishing stuff here is extremely hard so I take that he either did it in France originally as it's where Spanish authors go for publishing usually). I really hope they keep making translations of it to other languages and it spreads a little because I've got quite fond memories of those comics myself :'D

Aaah, right, I forgot this! Yeah, he made some posts about releases in France, so what you say makes perfect sense (and it means that the frames I saw were in French, heh xP)

Yeah, MadDogVII mentioned exactly Mad Max as the thing that might help have a clearer idea of the concept.

No, to be honest :'D But I want to. I often watch something while drawing at night, to not fall asleep, so I might include Mad Max into my to-watch list.

Sucks trying to sneak around creatures with such big ears, right?
Poor guys. Can't catch a break in that dystopia.
I like how you did the starry night and hills in the background.
The big one looks so worried, i'm almost sorry for him. Also, nice boots they got.
