Have just returned from St.Petersburg two days ago, still trying to get used to the thought I'm in Moscow again XD
My head is a little aching from the climate change, but in general all is fine)

Yeah, Russia is huge, and even though my trip by the train took only about 9 hours to St.Petersburg and about 10 hours back to Moscow, the weather difference could be felt very clearly each time. I was very surprized that I felt good despite the unpredictable weather with always gray sky in St.Petersburg. I can't say the same about my current condition, even though I'm supposed to be used to Moscow weather XD

If the scanner was yours I would have suggested throwing it off a tall building. But since it isn't ,do you know anybody else with a scanner you can use?

I actually have the problem not with the quality, but with the drivers, since the scanner isn't mine, and my laptop has no CD-rom.

So I think, the drivers may have trouble with the scanner support?
I once saw my teacher's laptop sometimes like that, when Madam sent me for an errand to fix the similar problem.

Kind of. My laptop refuses working correctly anyway, whatever it's connected with.
For example, I have to install the downloaded drivers for my tablet each time I want to draw something digital.
Therefore I prefer using my mom's laptop. But it's too big, so I've taken my small one.
