Watercolor and gouache.
I wasn't feeling well yesterday, so I decided on something relaxing and easy to paint. I finished it today and am already feeling a bit better. I tried two experiments with this painting: I painted the stamens entirely in gouache, and the red specks on the petals were made with a toothbrush.
The lovely morningstarskid gave me permission to use his photos as art references. This is an original composition that uses 3 photos. Check out his work and you won't be disappointed! I love his candid, unpretentious style of photography.
