Name: Melanthios (but many just call him Thios)

Allies: The princes, Nadar, Hossu, Nimbyth, Nutz

Personality/History: As legend goes, an Air Gormiti long ago committed a heinous crime and as punishment, he and his followers were forced to sacrifice their ability to fly and live forever on the land. Though there were enough followers for the Gormiti to thrive, becoming their own sub-species. Melanthios is the last one in existence of this once thriving population. His kind are usually very social and as such, lived in herds of up to a hundred members, though being the last surviving member of your species is hard. Melanthios was separated from his herd during a raid from the volcano, leaving the young 13 year old on his own. He has been travelling from territory to territory ever since, always breaking a hole into the wall to get through. He is hard hearted but really cares for others, wanting to insure they don’t go through what he has. He is only willing to approach/be approached by someone if he knows there is no threat at all. He may not be able to fly but he can jump to unbelievable heights, so in a sense he can fly for a short time. Deep down though, he is a courageous, caring and humorous individual willing to sacrifice himself so that others will be safe. He knows it is impossible, but deep down he wishes to bring back his people and let the empty fields flourish once again with his kind.

Likes: Adventure, talking with friends, learning magic, understanding nature, hunting and seeing others happy.

Dislikes: Sadness, those who kill for fun, seeing others suffer, ice (he slips the whole time), cold weather and heights.

Secrets: He dreams of one day breaking down the wall that has caused the tribes so many problems with each other, though he knows he must leave it to the princes. He is also one of the few who has personally met the Glass Empress, though he remains quiet about it for he promised not to tell.
