Art created by me, inspired by the concept of ``Field of Thorns´´.A place where nuclear waste will be stored, in the order of semiotic magnitude of 10,000 years or above, with the objective of keeping future intruders away from these areas, a series of messages were created at various levels of complexity in a 1993
report by Sandia National Laboratories, below is one of these messages.
``This place is a message... and part of a messaging system... pay attention! Sending this message was important to us. We considered ourselves a powerful culture.
This place is not a place of honor...no highly esteemed deeds are celebrated here...nothing prized is here.
What is here was dangerous and repulsive to us. This message is a warning about the danger.
The danger is in a particular place... rises to a center... the center of the danger is here... of a particular size and shape, and below us.
The danger is still present, in his time, as it was in ours.
The danger is to the body, and can kill. The form of danger is an emanation of energy.
The danger is only triggered if you substantially physically disturb this place.
This place is best avoided and left uninhabited. ´´
