There was a long gap time between the last Bionicle artwork and this one. Here is what I said at that time (nope, I'm not lazy):

I'm back with a little comic with Bionicle characters. It is inspired by the books Bionicle Legends by Greg Farshtey (this part of the story is in the book 5, Inferno) and by the old Bionicle comics that I recently found on internet and read (here : www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gal… ).

For those who don't remember it (and those who don't know the story at all) the two characters represented here are Axonn (the "good guy" who is throwing his axe in the first panel) and Brutaka (the "bad guy", my favourite character though, who is trying to stop it).
Axonn and Brutaka are two ex-best friends. Thousands of years ago, they were put on the island of Voya Nui by the Order of Mata Nui to guard the way leading to the powerful Mask of Life. But after some time, Brutaka started to think that the great Spirit Mata Nui was dead, and that it was useless to stay there guarding this stupid Mask. When the Piraka's gang came to the island to steal this Mask of power, Brutaka helped them finding their way to it, so he could take it from them if they success and then use it for himself. But Axonn didn't agree. He believed in Mata Nui and knew that the Mask of Life shouldn't be used like that.
Here, the two guys are in the Stronghold of the Piraka, in the chamber of a crystal sphere which holds a strange virus. This virus could be used to enslave the villagers of the island, but could also increase the power of Brutaka. When he and his ex-friend started a fight in the chamber, Brutaka had the idea to go next to the crystal, so he could become stronger thanks to the virus inside. But Axonn understood what he was going to do...

And because I like breaking spoilers, this fight finishes when Axonn throws a powerful blast of energy and knocks Brutaka down.

Okay, I hope you will understand a bit better the context of this drawing (sorry if I am a very bad story-teller and if my English is not very good).

For the details, I used black fineliners of different sizes (from 0.05 mm to 0.5) on a A4 page. It took... several hours. It has been quite long to finish :-.

Poor Brutaka... T_T (oh yeah, he has teeth, who could imagine that? o_o )
