This is Jim Henson. The Creator of the Muppets. Jim Henson was born on September 24th 1936, in Greenville Mississippi. He became a good voice actor which is a puppeteer. He created the Muppets a long time ago. He performed characters up until 1990. He performed the green frog Kermit The Frog. He also played Swedish Chef, Rowlf the Dog and more. He continued to perform characters with his fellow Muppet performers, Richard Hunt, Jerry Nelson, Steve Whitmire, Frank Oz, and Dave Goelz until his death. Then in 1990, Jim Henson got really sick and couldn't keep on performing. Then on May 16th 1990, in New York, Jim Henson died from pneumonia at the age of 53. Steve Whitmire, Dave Goelz, Richard Hunt, Frank Oz, and Jerry Nelson were really sad about his death and other Muppet performers too. They decided to do a tribute to Jim Henson and they did it to make the Muppet fans happy. But thankfully the franchise survived the death of Jim Henson and the Muppets are still going. Jim Henson was cremated and his ashes were scattered. Rest in peace Jim Henson. Thanks for voicing Kermit the Frog and creating the Muppets.
