Description I love owls and I always have fun making them. This little one was inspired by some adorable photos that I saw of a baby Owl. He is approx. 3" tall, 100% hand needle felted. His eyes and beak are acrylic painted polymer.

I could imagine; there's always that one part of a drawing that if you just change it slightly, it changes the whole picture. That can get annoying sometimes.

Aww thanks so much, he's definitely a favorite of mine but he did take a long time. If I'm remembering correctly I think the overall time spent was about 12 hours, I always start and stop and pick it up again, but I thinks that's about right.

Do you know if raw wool is available at Hobbylobby or Michael's, or some other store? I really would like to avoid ordering online if possible, and I've been wanting to try needle felting for quite some time now.
And do you know where I could get a felting needle?

Thanks so much! The Micheal's around here does have small felting kits which include a pad, needles and some roving. They also sell the items separately I think, not a huge selection and their roving isn't my favorite but it's ok. We have some great local shops that have much better roving, call around to local yarn supply stores and craft stores! Good luck!
