Hey, I just wanted to say thank you for this. As a 16 year old girl who is fan of World of Cars I can say that the hate the series gets is absolutely unbelievable. I can understand why a lot of people would hate it, because we're all entitled to our own opinions, but the fact that some people are going as far to bully and even physically assault others for simply being a fan of the series? It makes me feel so infuriated and terrified at the same time to think that even I can get bullied and beaten up at my own school for liking something as simple as a movie series. I don't even understand why so many people hate the movies so much, especially Planes. Like yes, they weren't the best movies to come out of Disney and Pixar but they certainly weren't the worst. This is the exact reason why I don't tell many people that I'm a fan of World of Cars other than my close friend who I trust. I'm sorry if this felt long, but I really wanted to get this off my chest. You're a great artist, by the way.

Ugh, I know right?! I've seen these people calling themselves the "Pixar Purists" or something like that who think that only Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc., Wall-E and The Incredibles are worthy of being Pixar films and that anything else--especially where the Cars films are concerned--is crap. (Actually, I saw this one person who made this stamp that said "Brave is Pixar's apology for Cars" or some rubbish like that.) I understand not everyone likes the Cars franchise, and that's fine, but the Cars hate goes way beyond that. I have literally seen people get cyberbullied and bashed online because they liked the Cars series, especially if, God forbid, that person is a Cars 2 fan! I have seen people say that Cars fans are morons, Cars fans are stupid, ect. I even saw this one person on IMDb say that only idiots could like Cars 2 and if they did they had a baked potato for a brain. (He couldn't even punctuate, spell or capitialise right). And I'm just sitting here thinking "Hello, I got into college at 16 and have been making straight A's, I've accomplished lots of things in life and got some talents, and you're saying that as a Cars 2 fan I must be stupid? Yeah, that makes a lot of sense". I even saw a person get beat up online because they said Cars 2 wasn't bad and this jackwagen said "THE MOVIE SUCKED AND SO DO YOU YOU FOOL!" or something like that. Seriously people, can't you just let it go? There are fandoms I hate to, but you don't see me going around beating up people for it. Like, I HATE My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic BUT I don't think the people who do like it are crazy or stupid or silly. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but some people take it way too far and abuse it. Sorry if I'm rambling a bit, but this is how I feel about it. Ugh, it's like if you even so much as LIKE the Cars films you're a stupid idiot, in their minds.

(Correction: when I said "beat up" I meant to say "beat up online". I JUST caught that mistake. I'm terribly sorry. :S But I wouldn't be surprised if someone got assaulted because they liked the film!

Somebody actually getting ASSAULTED over their taste in movies? I should think that takes the frigging cake, but we have only to check a news site to see people getting beat up and even killed over less, every stinking day. "Pixar Purists", or whatever they call themselves, are cancer, and since that disease hit our immediate family twice in the last five years, I don't use that word lightly.

Speaking of bullying, I was browsing through some Cars stuff on Tumblr and I saw that one of my watchers posted a thing that said "Reblog if you like Cars 2: Please tell me I am not the only one!" So I gladly did. Anyway, I was browsing through the notes on that post, and you know what I saw?! This one person posted only one thing; a comment that said "F* you!" And I thought "What a jackwagen!" Instantly blocked them because I didn't want to mess with them.
But seriously! He/she was bullying this poor person just because she liked Cars 2! Why are people so cruel?

It's true! I've seen it! I don't know if those discussion boards are still up there as I couldn't find them last time, but I saw it, I swear! It's ridiculous! And the sick thing is these "Pixar Purists" claim they're the REAL Pixar fans, and yet they don't know what the word RESPECT means! And you're right--they're poison. I even saw a person on DA who was making these horrible stamps and calling Pixar fans--specifically Cars fans--moron idiots! Get a life people! (I even had a minor encounter with him awhile back because he was trolling a bunch of Cars stamps)
