I know this has been done so many times, but I wanted to do my take on it D:I'm really proud of this one and how it came out.

Wonderful piece! These *have* been done before like your description says, but they all *feel* different to me. Crazy is a very nebulous concept, thus each piece created stresses different parts of the madness equation, and is always unique in my eyes.

i know this is like a fandom thing but
why do people draw cupcakes pinkie as 'pinkamena'?
it doesn't make sense, her straight hair is when she's sad. not when she's depressed, not when she's insane. when she's angry or sad. plus in the official cupcakes art her hair was curly like always

Pinkamena was first represented when Pinkie had her tea party with inanimate objects. She had her tea party like that because she believed her friends had left and she was alone with no one but these inanimate objects. She gave the objects personality's and brought them to life, much like the personalities of her friends. This indicates that because she was left alone and thought she had no one left and creating her own friends, that she became a little bit unstable.
Pinkamena is known as Pinkie's OPPOSITE side. Not her 'sad' side. Pinkie Pie, in character development is a extremely over ecstatic and overly happy character, whose always willing to make her friends smile and laugh, regardless the cost. Her Opposite, according to that, would have to be a slow and depressed persona, someone who if had lost her friends, she's be driven to insanity because of how alone she is, considering she has no one to create parties for.
In season 4 when Cheese Sandwich appeared, she explained through song that all she really wanted to do in her life was to make people happy and to smile and laugh, and if she didn't have that, then what did she have?
It creates amazing and interesting character development that in which case, she could no longer create parties for her friends or make people laugh and smile, it would drive her insane, because that's all she has to do in her life, as chosen by her.

i know. i have nothing against pinkamena in the show itself, if anything it's a great add-on that would be nice to have explored. my wording was a bit shabby. my point was that pinkie acted the same as always in cupcakes, if not a bit more serious. of course, minus the whole 'kill your friends' thing.
pinkamena in cupcakes was not depressed, slow, or sad. insane, yes, but not slow and depressed. she was still bouncing around and cracking jokes like always.
pinkie pie in 'party of one' was unstable and stressed, but she was still a stepford smiler as always.
once again, i have bad wording. i'm sorry.
in 'cupcakes''s canon, pinkie is not pinkamena. she is still pinkie. that kind of adds to the scare factor cupcakes tried (and mostly failed) to pull off.
