Description Description:
These enormous birds of prey are native to flatland, prairie, and mild desert regions of Endvale.  They are impossible to miss or mistake for anything else, once they're close enough, as their wingspans stretch at least twenty meters.  Their feathers are usually colored white and a light sandy brown, but can vary based on their native region.  Their bodies and talons match this size, causing them to simply resemble greatly oversized eagles.  Rukhs are generally territorial with each other, and protective of their nests, but generally do not bother humans or other predators.  Their typical prey are very large mammals, and they've been known to carry off elephants, and those in colder flatlands have been seen hunting barothas.  More typically they will seek somewhat smaller prey, such as wild horses.

Tactics:
Most of the time humanoid creatures are too small to catch the attention of Rukhs, though ones that are particularly hungry, or that feel their nests or lives are threatened, will attack.  They are swift, strong, and durable, but still natural creatures.  An arrow or two or a fireball to the face will typically dissuade an attacking Rukh, so long as one takes care to avoid being a continued threat.  Approaching the nest of a living Rukh is greatly discouraged, and damaging it or taking their eggs invites their wrath.  When forced to confront one without access to ranged attack methods, it is advised for Knights to find cover, forcing a Rukh into a cramped approach.  Whether cover can be found or not, a Knight should stand fast and watch the Rukh's movements, striking it when it dives for them in order to use its own speed against it.

Abilities:
Rukhs possess no unusual or supernatural abilities.  They are large, strong, durable, and surprisingly swift, especially in a dive.  They have superior senses of sight, smell, and hearing, and have enough endurance to remain in flight for weeks without landing.  They eat large meals, but generally only need to hunt down prey at most once a month.  While they possess greater intelligence and cleverness than most natural birds of prey, they still have animal level intelligence.  However, they are long lived and possess very good long term memory, and will remember those that are kind or cruel to them for their entire lives.

   Mobility: Very High
   Durability: Very High
   Magic: None
   Intelligence: Low
   Awareness: Extreme
   Tactics: Low
