Description
was an Austrian-American actress celebrated for her great beauty who was a major contract star of MGM's "Golden Age". Lamarr also co-invented โ with composer George Antheil โ an early technique for spread spectrum communications and frequency hopping, necessary to wireless communication from the pre-computer age to the present day.

Fantastic subject choice. The likeness is perfect.
I think that it's not quite as soft as some of your other pieces. And this one should be, more so than most, because of the style of photography from this era. Where usually your tonal qualities and "blends" are so smooth as to give the impression that the implied texture would actually be felt by touching the picture. In this one, the stroke is a little too visible.
These "Golden Age" photos have such an ethereal quality to them. There's such a presence of style and grace, as if someone managed to actually capture the image of a goddess. Regardless to my critique, I say you have not only replicated that quality, but enhanced it with the effect that only graphite in the hands of an accomplished artist can.

This is very well done. The subtle shadows and colour changes make it look very realistic. Her eyes are absolutely captivating, and the rest of her face is nearly flawless. There are a couple of places that could use work, but they are minor. There's a weird shadow on her nose that makes it look off, and some of the shadows on her pearls don't seem to work right with the light source (they lack some consistency with the brightness of the highlights), but other than that, this is a phenomenal piece. All of your work is clean and well-detailed. I am very impressed, and look forward to more work from you.
