this is really awesome. she is truly fantastical, beautiful.
one of the greatest things about fantasy is that glorifies the mysterious.
it encourages us to love what we cannot understand, rather than fear it, hate it, kill it.
no one, from looking at this picture, would want to hurt that pretty elf lady.
they would want to understand her, to learn to love her.
that is why we who draw fantasy are doing the right thing.

I've just had the urge to put this up as my desktop background. I think it'll stay there for about a month.. It's so enchanting. Reminds me of the Shannara series of Terry Brooks. Oh my vocabulary! If you havent read any Terry Brooks do yourself a favour.

As a matter of fact, i've read the Voyage of the Jerle Shannara trilogy, and Running with the demon, A knight of the world and Angel fire east, and that's was about the extent of our town's library but I would love to get my hands on more of the books

This is beautiful. Ive always had a fascination (just a euphemism for fetish) for elflike sprites. I used to have dreams of them trancing in the moonlight in a forest when i was young and the dream recurred 2 years ago after i had been tripping on shroomies. There's something eerie about this drawing. Something about good fantasy art gives me deja vu.. Goose flesh.. Maybe i just a cigarette.
