An interesting observation.
I find Iβm almost the only one who draws Fluttershy with a small bust. Almost without fail, everyone else draws anthro Fluttershy with a very large bust, and Iβve received a lot of requests to draw her as such as well.
On a whim I decided to draw both styles side-by-side. Ultimately, I still much prefer drawing her with a small bust. But perhaps some people will appreciate this sketch of her with a large chest.

to be honest i think a tiny bit more size would be better
just enough for them to be a bit more rounded
but the big boobs are way too big
it gets horrible and destroys my inoccent impression of her

one's body doesnt always suit one's personality in real life either
beside it is artistic freedom to make your own impression of a character

These days I'd probably draw her exactly like that, slightly rounder, but still quite flat.
Alternatively, I'm surprised that I thought the "large chest" version here was, well, actually large. It's pretty moderate by most standards. xD

I'm so used to seeing people draw Flutters with ridiculously large breasts that it took me a few moments to realize there was a difference between the two. The "large bust" still looks natural and realistic. (Bravo!)Β

It comes from anime, where the more mature and motherly a character is the more, ahem, "motherly".. yeah

I thought it came from D&D where people often correlate a high charisma score with attractiveness. She is a charismatic druid in Friendship is Dragons. I would draw her up as a charisma based druid in D&D, it makes sense.

I see flutters somewhere between these two. She would be the one who has a sexy body but might not be aware of it...OR she would be HYPER aware of it, and does her best to hide it so as not to get unwanted attention. She's simply beautiful either way, but the slightly larger chest but wearing clothes to hide it strikes me as the most plausible Fluttershy anthroization.

I think it's funny that your sketch of Fluttershy's "large chest" is still smaller than how I've seen others draw her. I also prefer Fluttershy with a small bust, and both of these versions are wonderful.

Well, I get the feeling Ambris proportions his characters more realistically than most anthro artists (well, as realistically as one can with a humanoid Pegasus in the show's style)

Sometimes, you don't notice things when they're so common. No wonder girls these days have some body image problems. How can they not when constantly comparing themselves to some of these anthro girls with their long lavish tails or their big beautiful wings. I hear some actually put feather extensions in their wings, not knowing the damage those things can do in the air just so they can feel like they conform to society's expectations. It's sad, really.

Thats it. When I publish a fan fic, Rainbowdash is gonna be quite "womanly" and Rarity will have a more tomboyish physic, while knowing just how to pull it off to be quite sexy. For ironies sake.

That's something I don't get. Rainbow Dash eats, sleeps and breathes flying, so a huge bust like people are so keen to give her would only weigh her down and keep her from being as fast as she wants.

If you see people being keen to give Dash a huge bust, please direct me to this fandom you've been a part of, because it's obviously not the same one I've been in. The one I'm familiar with insists Dash would be flat-chested because athleticism, but applies this line of reasoning to precisely zero other athletic characters.
