Thanks so much! Ironically, from what I remember, I don't think there was very much wind that day. Just a bit in one direction. I think the photographer and I were just aiming for a photo where it looked like I was manipulating sand. I had a handful in my hand, and dribbled it out at varying speeds. The rest is due to the fast speed of the camera and some lovely natural lighting effects. ^_^

Yeah, posing as him isn't the easiest, but I figure crossing your arms or looking stoic are pretty good defaults. I knew I had to get out to the desert (or desert-like areas) for a shoot with him and I'm glad my photographer obliged. We love that location. Sand is very important for Gaara.

Actually my photographer just used a really fast shutter speed to catch the sand in motion. Add in a little breeze, and voila!
