Yes, I am fully aware that rise of the Guardians came out two years ago, but here's an OC with a ton of information anyway.

Personality: Mature and calm. Very self-relient, Kayla can't stand depending on someone else. She is quiet and reserved, although friendly. Kayla rarely gets mad, but when she does her temper can cause her to say things she doesn't mean, and feel bad about later. She has a strong will, and is generous, sensitive, and loyal, with a wry sense of humor.
She hates being bossed around, and having her opinion ignored. She's happiest under water, and can be quite playful there.
Good qualities: Non-judgmental, optimistic, loyal, a great listener, creative, mature, patient, practical.
Bad qualities: Can't stand teasing, possessive, envious, apathetic, has a hard time apologizing, her temper.

Kayla can control water, bending it to her will. She can change its temperature, but she can't change it from a liquid to a solid or gas. However, she can change a solid or a gas into a liquid.
If she's fully submerged in water, she can teleport to a different body of water; this does not work on land.
She can communicate with all sea life, and purify any liquid substance.
Kayla can control a special type of water that glows white, and this water can heal and is especially powerful. She cannot fly, and has full control of her powers.
Dreams: To make the world a clean and peaceful place.
Life story: Kayla was born to a colony of sea nymphs living on Earth. They had started to hate humanity for what they were doing to the environment, and had retreated deep down int o the ocean. However Kayla liked to go farther up, and be closer to the sun.
One day a little boy fell overboard from a ship in a storm, and Kayla couldn't let one so young die.
She saved him, and when the other sea nymphs found out they were incredibly angry with her. They banished Kayla forever from them, casting her out to never return.
Kayla was heartbroken and scared as she fled, when suddenly the water around her began to glow white.
She briefly lost consciousness, and when she awakened there was a pearl around a cord on her neck. She found out she could control water, but has never returned to the sea nymphs.
Just to clarify, Kayla didn't die to be chosen, and she retained all of her memories.
Best friends: Sandman and Toothiana.

Enemies: Anyone who tries to harm children's innocence.

Pets/workers: none, but she can command sea life if necessary.
