I really love the flat colors and the line weight weight. The texture your created on the stump with the subtle shading is well done. You did the design on the shirt is also amazing, it give a nice touch. Plain colors aren't bad but it's always nice to add patterns to clothes it creates a uniqueness to the piece. The wings seem a little bit slapped on, maybe try to add a little more shape toward the bottom where the wings attached. Make it look like its coming out of his back rather than just be jutting straight out from behind him. But That's not really that big of an issue to be fair since this is clearly stylized, I just thought I'd suggest it. Also maybe add a little shading in the pants, because next to the stumps shading and texture it does make him look a little flat. But the drawing and colors are done very well and I really enjoy your style.

Hello from ~

Even from just the thumbnail, I could the level of detail that you put into the wings, and I definitely wanted to take a closer look. I like the two different shading techniques that you've used on the wings -- with the shorter, top feathers seeming softer and glossier, while the longer feathers at the tips are darker and more matte. It almost reminds me of a juvenile bird that's making the shift into having its permanent plumage, which correlates very well into the age that I perceived this character to be. I also really liked how the imagery of flowers seems to almost be mirrored in this piece -- in both the sweater and in the vegetation on the ground. Although, I almost wished that you incorporated more of the darker green (as seen in the sweater) into the grass by the tree stump, because the paler grass almost has a more muted, and washed out feel to it. One critique that I have about this drawing is that there seems to be an imbalance in the level of detail/shading. The range of browns that you incorporate into the wings is lovely and really helps to make them seem more realistic, and it would have been nice if that was present in other places in the piece. I've already mentioned the grass, but the bark of the tree stump could have been better textured by using a wider range of browns to higher/shade cracks and patterns in the bark and you could have also added one or two more shades of brown into the pants to help show where the source of light is here. Hopefully this comment helps, and please let me know if you have any questions! xo
