When Hally was a little girl of only six summers, there was a huge storm that brought about tragedy. It was one of the largest ever seen in Andras, and it wreaked havoc across the land.

Hally was living with her mother, father, and elder sister when the storm struck. Their home was reduced to shambles, and the storm swept away her father and sister in its path. When the storm finally passed, she and her mother searched for their lost loved ones in hopes they survived, but never found them.

Drowning in their grief, Hally's mother moved them to a faraway location to start anew. Years pass and the pain of the loss still resides in their hearts, yet duller, but Hally grows up happy and healthy under the loving care of her widowed mother.

Even though Hally now is twenty-two summers old, her childhood experience caused a deathly fear of thunder and lightning, leaving her cowering under the blankets during thunderstorms.
