Do you think this might be a more masculine counterpart of Buneary?

Not at all, it doesn't resemble Buneary in the slightest, other than that it is a rabbit and is normal-type. I'm thinking it's more based on a wild mountain hare, unlike Buneary and Lopunny which are based more on domestic Holland Lop rabbits. It also looks like it could evolve into some sort of Ground or Rock type, I look forward to seeing it!

I think it's evolved form could look like a male Lopunny, but then again they could also put a more original spin on it if they wanted to. So if it does I am totally fine with it, if it doesn't fine with it, either way this is one pretty cool looking pokemon.
