Tattered was created with a vintage watch face that has been cut and folded into many broken and tattered looking pieces, several old brass watch wheels, and a European balance wheel. All parts are recycled from old and unloved watches, cleaned, and soldered into place using lead-free silver bearing solder, rather than glues or resins found in many craft items. Each piece at A Mechanical Mind is hand designed and assembled by an artist, and each piece is one of a kind, and never to be reproduced exactly.
Tattered is 22mm wide by 24mm tall and comes on an 18" sterling silver cable chain with links measuring 1.5mm. A ring clasp secures the necklace.
