Made for San Diego Comic Con's 2009 art show.I was sketching a bird cage in the shape of a cat and then mixed in the idea of those diagrams that show the organs and ended up with the image of the mouse living inside a cat. The outside scene of his worried friend? relative? came when I was trying to figure out how to finish the background.

LOL, I think the cut away is just a peek into the other side for the audience. It's not what other mice on the ground see. They just see a huge cat where the other mouse's house should be.
I've thought about this way too much.
