) suggested that i draw a parrot, so i went one further and painted a sketch i had of one! I don't draw birds very well, even though i love them, i can never seem to get them right x_X I quite like the real one of this, though its scanned really badly and made all the outlines darker and the colours are bighter and better blended on the real one.

Cool! It's so realistic. Love how you colored it. The wings should be a bit more defined though. Nonetheless, great job.

I don't see anything "cartoon" about this parrot. The texture alone makes it realistic.
I love the white outline making it stand out and the face is perfect. Your use of color is perfect and the textures in both figure and background are wonderful.
The only thing I would suggest is more definition in the wings. Seperate out the two wings even if they overlap and put a bit more detail in the feathers. Perhaps a few quick swipes with a black fine point pen?
