If you're posting bases traced off of screenshots, it isn't really stealing if someone provides a similar base. I don't understand why you kids scream that with traced bases. It'd be more logical if they were of your original work and not off of an already provided screenshot.Β

When did I ever complain about that?? If they use the base I posted, there's nothing wrong with me being credited for it. Besides, I put work into it to make it usable for them. I don't understand why you're bringing this up anyway.

Well, in your artist comments you're shouting no stealies. Which is kind of the pot calling the kettle black as you're tracing off a show's screenshot for others to recolor. I've nothing against bases or basing(since it's what most of the kids only have these days). But I don't understand why you kids beg not to steal.Β

I'm not shouting at people for it, but if i'm gonna work to make it usable for them, i should be given credit..even if i did get it from a screenshot. I don't know where you're getting this whole "Shouting at people". I don't! I tell them they need to follow the rules, simple as that.

Perhaps I'm wording myself wrong here. I'm always seeing people say "Do not steal!" on their rules for bases. It makes no sense to me if the image is traced.Β

It's not the base you don't have to remove. It's just the rule. You can put "Don't be a jerk" if it makes more sense.Β
