My entry for the Neil Gaiman "a calendar of tales" blackberry contest. Totally last minute XD. I hope I submitted it correctly on their website. I just read that the last day was today (the 11th) like 2 days ago so I read all the stories, from January right thru to December, loved them all, but October was by far my favorite. This is from the october tale, and I love stories that include things like genies and magical things. There were a lot of really good ones, and I wanted to do more pictures, so you see those framed pictures in the back? yeah, a few of those go with the rest of the calendar. I really didn't have the time to do all the ones I wanted to XD. Enjoy!line art done in traditional ink on bristol, color done in photoshop.

I really like this one--it looks like an illustration for a book. It reminds me of the book "The Genie of Sutton Place" about a woman in NYC who falls in love with a genie.
