Description
So here are Sarabi's fine sisters.

From left to right it's Naanda, Diku, Sarabi, and Dwala.
I'm actually so pleased with this. It came out pretty much how I wanted.
I tried to make them all different, but similar enough to be sisters. In some pics, I can't tell one from another. I mean, Scar and Mufasa were brothers, look how different they are. I think siblings and offspring who are clones of each other are jusy lazy. Naanda is definatly my favorite out of the bunch. I think Kiara takes after her aunts a lot as well. Perhaps later I'll come up with characters for their mother and father, though I loooove s design for Sarabi's parents.
I like to imagine that they are from the same litter, or they are just very very close in age.
This is kind of my own head canon for each of them. I thought about this when I was drawing each of them.

The sisters weren't originally from Ahadis pride. They came from far north, around Egypt and Morocco. (Yeah, I have no idea where Simba's pride is. Maybe like the middle of Africa? I'm going to go with that) For whatever reason, they moved there in teens. Sarabi obviously made a life for herself there. As for the others, I don't know. I haven't gotten that far yet. Perhaps they were the mothers of some of the other cubs, like tama, chumvi, and kula.

Naanda: Oldest sister. Her name means begin. I figured she would be a bit uptight since she has to deal with all her siblings. But when she's not around them, she's actually pretty laid back. Naanda is always quick to speak her mind and make the first move. She tends to get along best with Sarabi, since Sarabi is the most level headed of the bunch. Naanda worries about not being good enough a lot, and that drives her actions and behavior.

Diku: Second oldest. Her name means somewhere. Since I didn't have anything to go on other than that she was Sarabis sister, and her name meant somewhere, I though, well what if her minds always somewhere else. Therefore she always tends to have a faraway look in her eye. She's very sweet, but pretty quiet most of the time. She doesn't get many suitors because of her peculiar attitude. Most other lions tend to think she's lost it, but really she is just day dreaming. Whenever their is a dispute, Diku tends to run away instead of standing her ground.

Sarabi: Third oldest. Name means mirage. She's the glue to keeps them all together and sane. Naanda may be the oldest, but Sarabi is who they come to with troubles. She's always had a very regal, motherly personality. She's always quick to forgive, unlike her sister Naanda. She tends to be a tad bit reserved most of the time though, mainly because she always thinks before she speaks.

Dwala: Youngest of the group. Her name means rock. Since she's youngest, and her name means rock, I figured she must be stubborn, hardheaded, and childish. She never means anything by it, but she tends to get on her sisters nerves with her playfulness and chatter. She can never sit still, and she doesn't really know when to hold her tongue. She gets on Naandas nerves the most, though they are more alike than they think. Dwala doesn't have a sense of responsibility like Naanda does. She often behaves a lot like Kiara does since she hopes for the best, but tends to be very naive.
