He looks awesome in a kilt. Wish I could get my hubby to wear one, they are sexy for sure!

My first thought when I saw kilt, workboots, and cigarette was "Sev in a Utilikilt!" [link]

It's not a Utilikilt, of course, but I can certainly see Sev wearing one, with a wand pocket on one side and a hammer loop on the other.

Saith John Lennon: A working class hero is something to be.

Sev definitely has working-class roots. Just look at where he lives!

However, I decided to give him a hunting-style kilt with multi-purpose boots.

And yes, it has a wand pocket FOR SURE!

He's not drawn with hairy legs enough...

It's not that he's particularly hair, but his skin is so pale and his hair so dark that it stands out.

I love the Slytherin kilt! Men in kilts are dead sexy (the fit ones at least)!

*gigglesnort* Going to the Highland Games, Professor?
One of my friends actually wears one of these on a regular basis. People are always asking him what he's got on underneath the kilt. Which makes me wonder how dedicated Snape is to be authentic.

ameraucanablues In reply to BorgiaWriter [2012-01-20 14:42:41 +0000 UTC]

Well, he IS in Scotland most of the year (in spite of this being an Irish kilt)...

Oh and I agree that he is wearing it VERY authentically... Braveheart authentically!!!

*sigh* My grandmother made me a kilt out of real Scottish tartan (I forgot which clan, but it was green and gold) when I was in college... and skinny!

If you take Eileen's name to mean that they're descended from Irishmen who settled in England, than it's highly appropriate.

I think Cokesworth would be in Northern England, but not all the way up in Scotland. If I'm remembering correctly, they didn't really put much industry there. Northern England on the other hand... You've seen the Full Monty, right?

Excellent. He will be pestered from here to the moon by all the fan girls.

Nice.

Yeah but Hogwarts is in Scotland and he's there for over 9 months a year.

And I lamentably have NOT seen The Full Monty in its entirety.

THANK YOU! :HUGS:

I completely forgot about that.

You should, it's decently funny. the setting of the movie (mill shuts down, half the town's unemployed, major class issues) is kind of how I envision Cokesworth when Snape was a kid. I happen to love the movie at the moment, since I'm "researching" how they speak. (Or I just want to watch some good movies again, and claim it's for a project.)

The first time I saw Monty Python's Meaning of Life was a week before HBP was released. I could NOT get through Chapter 2 without humming "Every Sperm is Sacred".

Every time I think of Cokeworth, I think of that scene!

I love how men look in kilts but for some reason their footwear always seems wrong regardless of what they're wearing. Am I the only one? XD

uhhh... i've never seen a guy in a kilt AND heels at the same time, so I couldn't really say.. lol.
most of the guys i knew wouldn't be caught dead in heels at the ren faire (unless it was the last day and we all dressed up weirdly as a gag- one man made a particularly fetching woman)
