pretty cool! I did a picture of him in high school!It was mixed media, I think. I still have the picture somewhere. if I find it, I'll scan it and post it! good ole prime! great character!

well I have literally thousands of drawings I've done over the years! I'd have quite a gallery if I scanned them! some of my old stuff when i looked at it was actually quite impressive! I think i did prime in a combo of ink line, marker (or it may have been water color, i'd have to look) but it was quite good when i looked at it! this i did back in high school !(1986!) I think i did it from a video tape paused of the "transformers" cartoon and just drew it from the TV. I also have a pretty impressive shoulder to head drawing of megatron! the original megatron that transforms into a walther p38 semi automatic pistol, not the lame ass plane or tank incarnations i've seen (or the wimpy "beast wars" megatron in T-Rex mode.) great cartoons! i like the original generation of transformers, not these newer ones. except the CG movie ones were pretty cool! as soon as I find em and get access to a scanner I'll post em. I liked your optimus! he was "old school" to use the modern vernacular!

Man, I wish I had all my old art. I had everything from sculptures, to sketches, to painting, but I lost almost all my old stuff due to old room mates with sticky fingers (long story). My old stuff was not all that great, but it is cool to see how far one has come, you know?
Man, I want to see this Optimus Prime of yours! I am an old school Transformers fan myself, that was my favorite show growing up. I too dislike the new Megatron.....he is supposed to be a gun! I can't believe what they have done to him over the years. I remember being a bit upset when he got transformed by Unicron into Galvatron.....but even that I can live with......but seriously, all these other incarnations of him do not do justice at all!
I do agree about the CG movie though...that was not bad at all...even though I was still disappointed in more than one way.....but overall, it was good, and I want to see the sequel.

well, the megatron in the original cartoon, even though he was evil HE was always in the lead on the battle field while the other decepticons cowered behind. the beast wars megatron let his hapless minions do the dirty work while HE cowered behind! the original megatron was somehow colder in his general attitude and more fearsome. I loved the original vocal performance of megatron (voiced by frank welker) the movie had hugo weaving do his voice (hugo weaving was agent smith,(in the matrix) and elrond (in the lord of the rings) a pretty good performance but still not frank welker. I wonder why they didn't get frank welker? he does cartoon voices. he ought to be available. they got the original vocal talent for optimus (peter cullen) why not megatron? but yeah, i'm going to look for the optimus prime drawing, and the megatron drawing today!

Yeah, there is no Megatron that compares to the classic! I agree with you 100% about his fearsomeness, and overall coldness.
Yeah, they should have used Frank Welker in the Transformers movie....but I guess Michael Bay didn't think too hard about the original Transformers fans.....at least Peter Cullen was still there (I couldn't imagine any other person to pull off an Optimus voice)
So, yeah...I am still excited to see your Megatron, and Optimus drawings!

well i think there trying to be clever, the name "transformers" has 2 meaning now. "robots in disguise and robots who cant make there mind up on how they look every few weeks" and whats with the now none existant "disguise" part of them? they used to look like real trucks and cop cars, no they are summat from 5000 yrs in the future. i think id notice somthing amiss with that if i was a civi

Yeah, those big corporate idiots did screw up good old Optimus. I thought that if they brought back the old Transformers cartoon and toys it would be a hit again. But I am not sitting in some office in a skyscraper with my head in my ass, so what do I know? The way I see things as a viewer is like this....if it ain't broke, don't fix it by adding fire engines, and tractors, lol.
