Okay this may be a strange comment on this particular picture, but imagine the Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico, USA. Now imagine all the stalactites at a microscopic level. Now to end the sentence, look at the picture.
Dunno if you see it, but for some reason that's what came to mind when I first looked at this photograph.

No, I've never seen snow on a cactus. But if I did, I'd probably do exactly what you've done here. Photograph it.
Although my photo probably wouldn't even come close to the clarity and sharpness depicted here.

Beautiful concept. Very sharp, spiky and cold, but soften with water drops. Harmonic colors work very well together. I like the little details on snow beneath the spikes.
