basically what i think happened is that when despair was getting into the simulation, the plan was originally to create ai junko as we see in canon, but either they decided to do something different or they made a mistake. either way, they ended up corrupting nanami and usami, since they do not exist outside of the realm of the simulation and are stitched into its coding, so to speak. nanami gave into the despair before usami (it took her until a little after monokuma turned her into monomi to be completely corrupted), but eventually they both became corrupted. they did their best to hide their despair, but monomi was a bit more glitchy than nanami. she had occasional bouts of swapping back to hope for a few seconds or minutes before glitching back to despair. nanami was paranoid that monomi was going to switch back permanently and throw a wrench into what she was doing, considering she was now the person controlling monokuma and making the killing game happen. nanami didn't expect to accidentally kill komaeda, but it happened. when she realized this, she decided that she had a perfect chance to be rid of monomi. in the execution, nanami was able to successfully replace herself with a hologram, but all the monomis in the execution were the real ones - nanami wanted them out of the way.Β
i have more like about how she reveals herself and stuff but i don't have that too well-rounded yet

I wanted to include at least one video game soundtrack tbh and Lavender Town was the first thing that came to my head

The first one to pop in my head was one of the pokemon grunt battle scenes tbh. Its a super good choice either way

I felt like something with a creepy tone to it would fit best, but I was also considering some sort of boss battle music (like against the Elite 4 or Champion) if I decided against the creepy soundtrack. I was able to decide on most of the songs on the mix on my own, but I will admit that Remote Control, All This Fashion, and Spaceman were suggested to me by some friends.

I feel like their motive would be something along the lines of the fact that they were bullied to the point where they hid themselves away and were still treated badly beyond that, so I can imagine it kind of getting to Chihiro's head and they make a bunch of weird plans that they never actually plan to carry out but they start to become more and more sure that /they/ want to be the strong one. They want everyone to bow down to //them//.Β
