"Should I hate my life, or just the people in it?"

Actually, this quote is from a really old Kirby OC comic of mine, and this line was spoken by Hyps after being annoyed to hell by my unoriginal rip-off character, Puff.

It's just an old quote that I love XD And despite where it came from, it can really apply to lots of people.

Basically, is it really your life that's so bad, or only the morons that you're forced to live it with every single day? Your parents, your siblings, your "friends", your really annoying niece who screams in your ear all day and gets everything that she wants, those stupid freakin' hippies down the street, some group of biased morons that you hear about all day, idiots online, that religious old nut that screams things on the street corner all day, those jerks at school who talk behind your back all the time, your ex who's now dating your best friend and neither ever shut up about the other when around you.

Hell, you have food, shelter, clothes, a bed, all of your basic needs, and I assume a computer or electronic device if you're reading this. Really, with what you have, your life isn't all that bad. I mean, it could be a lot worse. You could be that poor guy who plays his guitar outside the liquor store all day and gives you that look every time you pass by that makes you feel guilty, or you could be your dirty cousin who's always losing her job and having pregnancy scares all the time and you swear that she stole something from your room the last time she was visiting and asking for money.

But even with all that you have, you just can't help but feel, like... wow. I know I have all this stuff that countless people would kill to have, and even though it makes me feel kinda selfish to think so, life still kinda sucks. Is it just me? Am I a bad person? Or is it just because of the people that I'm forced to have contact with every day?

You know that you have everything that you need, but life still isn't quite peachy for you, and maybe you even feel trapped or feel like a bad and selfish person for all that you have and what many others don't. But really, it's okay to think this way, and it's really normal. I'm a spoiled little brat who gets to go on cruises, has college paid for her, and gets a new techy toy to play with every Christmas. And yet life can still suck. I'm in a crowded house and live in the smallest room and I feel suffocated, yet I can't drive, I have nowhere to go, and my damn feet are messed-up so it's difficult to walk any distance. So I can't get very far away. And the people I see everyday can easily piss me off, especially my niece who sleeps in the room next to mine and screams and cries until she gets her way, and wastes everything that she's ever given.

But eh, there's always something to be thankful for, even if it's not much more than saving up enough to buy a new book or comic to read to take your mind off of life. Or even just the ability to go for a walk to clear your mind and get away from the people that you live with. There's always something somewhere that can help, even for just a moment.
