Just out of curiosity about how long does a render like this take? I know IRAY typically takes a bit longer but you get a more realistic look. I have been using 3Delight cuz I can do animations (much in the theme of your pic above in fact) at like 30 seconds a frame but it has a more cartoony (we will call it 'stylistic' ) look to it as a result. Just curious if long term animation is viable with the quality you have in this picture.

HDRI environments like this go a bit faster than prop set ups, but it usually takes my computer 20 minutes to an hour for renders.
If I'm scene conscious I can make a set up that renders in 7-12 minutes.
I would definitely want either a 1080 SLI build or 1080TI if I was going to do animations with IRAY and obviously the ram and CPU to go with it.
The simple animations I've done with my 1070 take around 3 to 6 hours.

That makes sense. My 3Delight animations on 1070 typically a 10 second animation or image series takes about 4.5 hours but my background scenes are very simplistic so it runs between 20-30 seconds a frame or so.Β
