Tumblr post: rhearenee-magane.tumblr.com/po…I really like both of these characters and some while ago I mentioned to someone that I should draw them in one picture, so here's me keeping up with my promises. I'm also making this as my present for my own Name day. Even though my day started out quite shitty I ended up having a great day. I got the top mark on my 30 page course paper, so I'm a happy camper. Also Kiri is the name of the song in Ergo Proxy's opening. It's a good song, highly recommended.
Now about the drawing...I drew both of them in really simple poses, but in perspective, I hope. I tried to do something like that, I hope that I didn't fail too much, plus I tried to make this look grayscale, with accents of red on Uta and blue on Re-l. Also got in some male anatomy practice

This is really neat and stylish! Very atmospheric.
The anatomy could use a bit work though, in my opinion, in places like Uta's belly ^^

I'd say practising things while working on projects (drawings) at the same time is one of the most effectives ways to learn stuff..

Some years back someone requested for me to draw Uta, so I checked Tokyo Ghoul and stuff. Never got into the series, but I liked the character, so I drew him and then drew him again. Similar with Ergo Proxy, this time someone had suggested me this anime, so I watched it. I really liked Re-l, so I drew her. Basically what it comes down to is me drawing two dark themed characters because I like them. If that's what you were asking.

I generally don't watch a lot of anime, mostly read manga. I've noticed that I usually read shounen, like Nanatsu No Taizai, Promised Neverland, Boku no Hero Academia and so on and seinen like Berserk, Kangoku Gakuen...What kind of anime do you like?

My favorite genre is Space Opera, sadly its not popular anymore only ones are from past and are very few in numbers but I also like Action+Romance and comedy anime.. But yep these days I read manga only , it takes less time and it covers more story

I haven't seen the anime or anything, but this is absolutely *gorgeous*!! I love the stark colors and the way you did the blue eye makeup! The bare tree branches in the background are a really nice detail, too.
