I love the dash of yellow in this otherwise black and white photo, it's so subtle, brilliant execution!

FAVE!

A fine picture of lovely flowers that I find soothing and relaxing to look at. What are they called by the way?

Also, I'm really enjoying how the mixture of white and gray reminds me of a snowy winter.(Something that I would like to experience again after nearly 20 years)

Don't you think it's funny how something cool can give a warm, fuzzy feeling?

I appreciate that, thank you.

It's a white oleander tree, so white oleander flowers. (I should probably go put that in the description... .)

It's a bit nostalgic for me, too, with same longing for snow.

You're welcome.(White Oleander tree...got it!)

I'm not one to criticize but if you, and others, put descriptions along with a 'deviation', it should keep curious and/or uninformed people(like me) from asking too many questions. On the other hand..... getting a response from an 'author' and/or even a random 'deviant', is a kind and often welcome gesture as it may show interest in a topic and allows people to relate.(However small or brief) Personally, I prefer the latter, but to each their own.

Living on a tropical island, snow is something that at most can only be dreamed or rumored about. When I was about 3 or 4 years old, I went on a trip to New Jersey for the first time with my grandmother to visit my aunt for the first time as well. It looked as if there were white clouds on the floor(to my kid mind) and it made everything else darker looking by comparison, and that was beside the fact that it was a gray and cloudy day. As night began to fall, and I saw out the window, I saw something that puzzled me and asked "What's that? Are those falling clouds?"; That was when I first learned about 'snow'. Even though I never actually touched it, the sight of falling and fallen snow is my most treasured of old memories; The fever that I had from the day I arrived till the day I left because of the cold? Not so much.....

I prefer the latter also, but the main reason I omitted it was because I wasn't sure.

That's cute. I lived in New York until I was eight, so all of my fondest childhood memories remind me of the snow I'm missing here in the hot, even if they were in the summer. It's funny, though... I don't remember ever being cold.

The climate difference in our upbringing and the fact that I probably wasn't wearing as many layers of clothing as I should have may have had something to do with that unfortunate fever... >_>

I'm aware that we've gone off topic but I've nonetheless enjoyed our exchange of words regarding flowers, snow and childhood memories; "It's the little things" as they say. Until next time, farewell.
