Description
This time without ribbons, and a lot less embarrassment.I know her belly isn't white, but when I tried to fix that later on, it didn't look right, so I kept it in.

You'll always see Babs with a pink chest when wearing a two piece bikini or outfit which shows her midriff.

I know that now, but I didn't know that back when I made this pic. I only had one image of her as reference, and it wasn't one where her belly was showing (and I also thought she wore gloves like Buster back then too.)

TTA had quite a few animation errors, mainly because there were multiple animation departments working on the show. I seem to remember that in some episodes, Babs mistakenly had a white belly instead of a pink one (and that's probably why me and many other fanartists got confused on that.)
But I think Roderick and Rhubella got it worst; both their fur colors and their designs didn't stay consistent in the few episodes they appeared in (Roddy in particular had his fur change color three times in the course of the series!)

I recall that a user tried his best to insist that Babs tummy was pink.
He even said tha the rules for that to happen was artworks errors.
I had to quit trying to reason with him since he was really obsessed with it.
Sadly, he got the mania of interfering in the feedback about these mishaps on Babs design.
I don't mind if the artist doesn't care, but interfering with feedback and being rude when it's not for him is already uncalled for.

I recall being told (rather rudely) that Babs's belly was pink and not white; that's part of the reason why I draw her with the correct belly color now.
It was a different person from the one you described though.

Yeah, harsh feedback is not rare, unfortunatelly.
By the way, there are people who think that Amy Rose have a cream belly, but it was proved false by Sega.
That's a similar issue with Babs since they think both characters should had a similar trait equal to their male counterparts (Buster for Babs and Sonic for Amy).

I know I've seen a lot of Amy fanart where she has either a pink belly or a tan one; there seems to be as much confusion with that as there is with Babs's belly color.
The fact that Babs has a pink belly and a cottonball tail makes her stand out from the other Warner bunnies; Bugs and Buster have white bellies (while Lola either has white or a lighter shade of tan for her belly,) and all three have more pointy tuft tails.

I also now know that her belly isn't supposed to be white (which I always found odd, since she looks similar to Buster in almost every other aspect.)

Officially her belly is supposed to be pink, but due to TTA having multiple animation departments, there were inconsistencies where her belly would sometimes be white. Also, she sometimes wore panties, and sometimes she was going commando; and some of the 'panties' were likely her having a white butt as well.

I could have sworn she did. Then again, her hands and belly were hidden in the ref pic I used. Same goes for the hair on the back of Fifi's head.
