I'm just assuming that this was the ruroken version of Toba Fushimi... we'll just have to wait and see, won't we...
...brush test.. oils, not a single airbrush moment (..yay!!?)

I had several screen shots, but there was only one with his arm actually visible... the rest didn't even have a motion blur...
The right arm is as it appears in the screen cap .. my assumption was that Kenshin had moved forward in the strike with his arm extended behind him ... the arm is therefore more distant, and from the shadows, it was also angled at the elbow, making it appear even shorter...

Only one thing. I don't get what is going on with his right (our left) arm hand, it looks cut off. Othr wise, it looks awesome

Yeah, I figured it might have been something like that. I am not sure how I would edit the image to make it look right for a painting, but I would probably try anyway. I know what you mean too, I must have watched that teaser about 20 times. I am really hoping that it turns out to be as awesome as the trailer is making it look. I have my fingers crossed big time. But I can't get my expectations up, as I don't want to be let down too much. I also hope, though this will probably anger a few people, that it is dubbed in English. I prefer not having to read because then i can watch the movie more effectively because my eyes aren't stuck on the words scrawled across the screen.

As for expectations.. apparently there was already preview screening of the movie to some members of the media.. below is an excerpt from [link]

It mentions that the movie has very good action scenes, Takeruβs (Kenshin) physical ability is utilized to maximum, Aoki (Sano) is sublime and roaring, Ayano (mysterious blondie guy) is a creep and Kikkawa (Jin-e) is crazy.
