Sophie-Chan is hosting a coloring collaboration contest and I thought that it would be good practice and a nice distraction from all of the Convention art-work I've been working on.I hope that my idea came through well. I'm pretty proud of the details in the skin and Hair. I hope that the tree shadow doesn't take away from the girl and her shading.
*I do not claim the line-art. I shaded the picture. I have permission from Sophie-chan to use the lineart.
* I'll be posting the nest page of my manga today. Sorry it's been longer than I thought. I finished it about a week or two ago but I haven't found the time to post it. ^_^

Beautiful! Love the detail. I didn't see the 'tree shadow' as a shadow, more of a texture that (I thought) added to the detail of the picture. Whether shadow or texture, it is appealing, tree shadow just wasn't what first came to mind.

I know :/ I was a little disappointed. The texture I used was supposed to be a tree shadow, but it didn't work as well as I had hoped. I do like the overall impact though, so it all worked out! ^_^
