Abilities: None really. He claims to have spiritual power like excommunication (damning your soul) and communication with spirits if the deceased. Few to none really believe he can.

Strengths:
- With Daloris, he's well protected on his head, neck, and back.
- Without Daloris, he is noticeably quicker and stronger.
- His smooth fur makes it harder to get a good bite on him.

Weaknesses:
- Daloris is very heavy, so it slows him down considerably.
- Without Daloris, he is totally exposed. No protection.
- Less coordinated without Daloris. Less weight = less resistance when moving = more clumsiness.
Injuries as of Round 2
- Scratches on the sides of his mouth make it irritating to pull mouth open very much.
- Cut on the left cheek a little below the eye.

Personality: Calls himself "The Patron Saint of Pripyat". Extremely religious and doesn't hesitate to bring his religion into things. He'll call people out on most anything and will profoundly defend the faith. Despite all this, Vendel is kind and respectful to others as long as they are respectful back. He's also surprisingly patient until you directly insult his religion. That means the clergy, God, Mother Mary, and the Catholic Church in general.
Another thing. He's bound by a number of ecclesiastical vows including celibacy. This causes him many troubles. Like all dogs, Vendel has "those feelings", but being self-tied to holy vows, he must suppress them. This makes him torn. Remain loyal to his faith or break his word and be a regular dog. Flirting or even a fond look will freak him out and he'll seclude himself to push back his natural inclinations. Pressing him further may result in violence.
Although he claims to be a church man, he doesn't have any qualms about fighting and killing in the name of the Trinity and Mother Maria. This is reserved for those who he's condemned or excommunicated only.
Learned in many texts like the Bible and Dante. Will often quote such texts. Also protective of the bear rug, Daloris, who he believes to be a spirit trapped within the skin.

History: Born and abandoned in a Catholic Church. The priests there took him in and raised him. Listening to mass and the reading of many religious books such as The Divine Comedy, Vendel developed his understanding of the Catholic faith. At about the age of 3, he left the church to evangelize. Here he stumbled into Pripyat and began converting the inhabitants. Or trying to. He doesn't have a pack who will accept him, so he wanders around the city shouting his religious bigotry beliefs. So most dogs will at least have heard about him.
When he came to Pripyat, he also found the bear skin rug, Daloris. The rug is not totally finished (missing glass eyes, felt underneath, and a bottom jaw) and is from a very young adolescent bear. Because the bear was so young when it died, Vendel believes that is why her spirit is trapped inside. He'll often talk to Daloris who, by Vendel's responses, seems to talk back. She also helps him see spirits around the city. However, only Vendel believes this is true, so it'll often appear like he is talking to himself when he thinks he's talking to Daloris or another spirit. He may or may not be imagining all of it.
