Description The Palace Pier stretches out into the English Channel off Brighton, United Kingdom.

Shot with Panasonic Lumix GH2, with Olympus 9-18mm lens. ND8 filter threaded on the end, plus an additional ND8 held over the top of that. Processed in Lightroom 4.3.

I think this must be one of the best photos of Brighton pier that I've seen. I love the contrasting sides: it almost has a fairytale vibe to it, with the bright, happy blue skies to the left, and the greyer-yellow creeping onto the right where the concrete arm reaches out. One side is sunshine and happiness, the other is deceit and danger...
