Yet I know more than every one how beautiful you are, how generous you are, how much you deserve to be loved.
You're not exempt of flaws, hell no, but we forgive a lot of things to the one we love.
Happy birthday my sweet France.
Ma p'tite France, tu peux être raillée de bien des pays, bien souvent parce que tu te prétends plus grande que tu n'est.
Je sais pourtant plus que tout autre combien tu es belle, combien tu es un modèle pour nombre d'autres pays, combien tu vaux la peine d'être aimée.
Tu n'es pas exempte de défauts, loin de là, mais on pardonne bien des choses à celle qu'on aime.
